Happy Wednesday mi gentes!
December 2024 was filled with adventures, food,
family, music and of course ✨ good vibes ✨
I found myself in Florida that month. My sister and I took flights to enjoy our new home away from home. Our parents moved down south about a year ago, leaving their beautiful daughters in the Garden state missing them. After a year of waiting, their house in Apopka, Florida was finally finished and ready for it's first guests!
Our parents spoiled us with food and adventures — in an attempt to charm us into moving down there, no doubt. A stop at Pal Campo had us drifting in aroma back to our sweet island. One thing about us Puerto Ricans, we're going to find an authentic spanish restaurant if it's the last thing we do.
A visit to Lake Eula was eventful with Orlando's Farmer Market. Guac from Ohmyguac was too dieeee for and my Mojito Passion mocktail from Criollísimo set the mood for the rest of the day.
But it wouldn't be a real trip to Florida without a stop at High Tide Harry's for some crab legs and hushpuppies.
All this at the expense of my father's pockets? Yeah... sign me up for this lifestyle.

While I was down here enjoying the beautiful weather and missing work (I'm smiling remembering this btw) I took myself on a solo adventure. I grabbed my favorite furry companion Shaggy and set on my journey to Winter Gardens. This cute downtown area has lots to offer, including a small museum and tons of restaurants.
*yes, they're dog friendy*
But I can't lie to you guys... this trip wasn't made to be a family visit. The true reason was to see the one and only Jhené Aiko for her second leg of The Magic Hour tour 🌅
Two days, one night in Miami.
Walks on South Beach with a cuban sandwich on Ocean Drive.
An unforgettable concert at Kaseya Center.
Polaroids to capture my beauty.
A safe flight back home to sweet old Jersey.
A trip to remember.
